3 Breathing Techniques to Build Energy

Three practical breath techniques to boost energy levels while still maintaining a calm steady state.

1. Complete Circular Breathing from Integral Breathwork Therapy:

  • in and out of the mouth slowly

  • breathe from base of spine up [belly expands then chest]

  • exhale out the mouth down the front of the body

  • eliminate any pauses at top and bottom of the breath cycle2

2. Surya Bhedan pranayama:

  • close left nostril, breathe in through right nostril

  • close right nostril, breathe out through left

  • repeat, inhale through right, exhale through left

  • in the video I demonstrate vishnu mudra where you close left nostril with ring finger and right nostril with thumb or you can use index finger and thumb, OR not use your fingers and just visualize the breath pattern

3. Simplified variation of Surya Bhedan:

  • Close left nostril, breathe in and out of right nostril
