Why I am here…

I will not heal you. I will not make you grow. I will not write your story. I will not make your dreams come true. YOU WILL!

In my training with Veterans Yoga Project, Dan Libby emphasized that “we don’t heal people, people heal themselves. We are just creating the space for people to heal” giving the example of a broken ankle being placed in a cast, the cast creates the space for healing, the body heals itself. My ongoing studies with the Amrit Institute have steeped me in this same belief that when we allow the mind to rest back, prana [energy] & our inner wisdom is free to do what it does best- heal, integrate, and revitalize. This is the foundation of my offerings; guiding you to create the space for whatever it is you want in your life.

By connecting through private sessions, workshops, retreats, writing, digital programs & classes. my hope is to share the power of the practices that got me here, so that more people see the best in themselves & stop underestimating what's possible in their own lives.

how I got here…

While working the grind in corporate America, I leaned on yoga to disconnect from the distractions of the outside world & reconnect with myself. Then one day, I realized success is not defined by a C-level title nor a dollar sign. I spent some months surfing, hiking, practicing yoga & doing odd jobs to pay the bills while diving into deep introspection about what my next path would be.

I began teaching yoga, moved to Colorado and then… my sacred wound. My true calling began to unfold in 2017 when I broke my back in an indoor climbing accident. This journey was the real yoga, uncovering the potency of the practice. I quickly became Alice going down the rabbit hole of neuroscience & mindfulness. I took trainings in PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Yoga Nidra & mindful meditation.

Still, there was a missing piece: the healing power of the great outdoors. I was leading retreats combining yoga with nature, however I knew there was something more. The summer of 2019, I moved into my Honda CR-V to explore this connection & explore it beyond the level of the individual. Inspired by my belief that a sustainable future for our earth lies in a shift of consciousness, I packed up a library of books & set off on a self study.

Every step along the way revealed the next. I felt a deep connection to the Amrit Institute’s lineage and teachings which led me into their 800 hour Yoga Therapy program. And then there’s the breath. It happens naturally, it is the cornerstone of health and it can be used in a way to heal and empower one’s self. Integral Breath Therapy continues to have a profound impact on my life as I expand my training and offerings with Breath Therapy. I hope to share the gifts that have been given to me through these teachings.
