Yoga Therapy Series
for Osteopenia + Osteoporosis
MONDAYS MARCH 11, 18, + 25
12:00-1:00pm MST / 11:00am-12:00pm PST
Live on zoom
The series is designed to support osteopenia and osteoporosis. Implementing gentle yoga poses, breathing and relaxation techniques can help support building bone density as well as increase muscle strength that can prevent falls which lead to bone injuries. Since these are Yoga Therapy classes, you will be required to provide some additional information about your osteopenia or osteoporosis through an intake form that will allow for a more customized class for the group and specific options for you. You can expect some light movement into poses and balancing with or without support of a wall/chair, breathing practices, and finishing with a guided relaxation technique as moving into slower brainwaves states encourage a release of hormones that support bone and muscles repair. These classes will be gentle and slow. Each participant will be given recordings of the class and poses to practice on their own. If you miss a class, the recording will still be sent to you.
